Question 1

What is SiteScore?

Accepted Answer

SiteScore is a Chrome extension created by Trustoryx that analyzes website SEO, technical health, structured data, content accessibility, and AI-search readiness on the active page loaded in your browser.

Question 2

What do SEO, AEO, and GEO mean?

Accepted Answer

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) focuses on traditional search engine rankings and crawler accessibility. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) evaluates how well content answers specific user queries for voice assistants and direct answer boxes. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) evaluates content clarity, entity relationships, and discoverability signals relevant to AI-powered search engines.

Question 3

Does SiteScore analyze an entire website or only the current page?

Accepted Answer

SiteScore analyzes the DOM and resources of the page currently open in your active tab. This provides instant, browser-level fidelity without server queues. For multi-page analysis, the extension includes a deep crawler tab with rate limiting and local IndexedDB partition storage.

Question 4

How are audit results calculated?

Accepted Answer

Results are computed deterministically using heuristic checks against the live document. The overall score weighs Traditional SEO (30%), AEO (20%), GEO (20%), Technical SEO (15%), Accessibility (8%), and Trust Signals (7%). Missing data points receive zero rather than inflated pass marks.

Question 5

Does SiteScore guarantee rankings or traffic?

Accepted Answer

No. SiteScore does not guarantee search engine rankings, Google indexing, or traffic increases. Search engines evaluate hundreds of external and proprietary signals that cannot be measured or controlled by any on-page analysis tool.

Question 6

Does SiteScore guarantee AI-search citations?

Accepted Answer

No. Generative search engines (like ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews) select citations based on complex external models. SiteScore provides heuristics to ensure your content is clean, well-structured, and machine-readable, but cannot guarantee citation.

Question 7

How does the Chrome extension work?

Accepted Answer

Once installed from the Chrome Web Store, SiteScore operates via a persistent side panel or popup. When you click Analyze, it inspects the live DOM of the active tab, evaluates on-page signals, and presents findings alongside the exact source markup evidence.

Question 8

What permissions does SiteScore require, and why?

Accepted Answer

SiteScore requests activeTab and scripting to inspect the page DOM, sidePanel for the docked user interface, storage to save your audit history locally, and downloads to export reports. It does not monitor background browsing or read cookies.

Question 9

What information is collected or sent to external servers?

Accepted Answer

SiteScore performs audits 100% locally in your browser. No website content, DOM trees, or private chat/session data is transmitted to Trustoryx servers. If you optionally configure external AI keys (e.g. OpenAI), requests communicate directly with those providers.

Question 10

Is SiteScore free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SiteScore is completely free to install from the Chrome Web Store. All 18 side panel tabs and 8 core analysis categories are included without paywalls or subscriptions.

Question 11

How can I report an issue or suggest a feature?

Accepted Answer

You can submit feedback directly via our Contact page or through the Chrome Web Store support desk. You can also email our team at support@trustoryx.digital.
